Train where couples therapy is the work, not the side line.
A 12-month doctoral practicum in evidence-based couples therapy for PsyD and PhD students. Group supervision in Gottman, EFT, IBCT, and Discernment. Bilingual training tracks available.
What we offer.
Our practicum is built around couples-therapy training specifically — most general practicum sites don't offer that depth. You'll see couples on day one (with co-therapy support), do your reading in the modalities our supervisors are certified in, and build a real caseload over the year.
- Caseload 10–20 client-contact hours per week
- Supervision 2 hours weekly group · 1 hour weekly individual
- Reading group Gottman, EFT, IBCT — paced through the year
- Bilingual track Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Armenian — opt-in
- Format In-person caseload + telehealth across California
- Stipend Modest — the primary value is the training depth
Who we're looking for.
Doctoral students in PsyD or PhD programs in clinical or counseling psychology, currently in their second year or later. Particular interest in students from communities under-represented in California's couples-therapy field — bilingual, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first-gen.
